Voice Recordings and Speech Processing

Your voice recordings are central to the Service. We process them to produce a text transcription, to assess your pronunciation, and to check how well your answer matches the exercise. This processing is carried out using third-party speech- and language-processing services acting as our processors under data processing agreements (see "Who We Share Your Data With" below). We do not use your voice recordings for any purpose unrelated to providing and improving the Service.

International Data Transfers

We aim to keep your data processed within the European Economic Area (EEA). Some of our processors, such as OpenAI, may process data outside the EEA; where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as European Commission standard contractual clauses.

Leaderboards and Public Visibility

The Service may display leaderboards. By default you appear anonymously and your name is not shown. If you opt in through your profile, your first name and last initial may be visible to other users. You can return to anonymous at any time.

When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, except where we are required to retain it by law.
